10 and under tennis

Our 10 & Under Tennis Program is designed to promote FUN and build a strong foundation in tennis.

The Foundation Level is offered to students who want to learn tennis at an early age. It is designed to promote FUN while learning the basics of the sport. In order to incorporate proper techniques for our young players, we feature the following:

  • Low compression balls
  • Age appropriate equipment
  • USTA regulation sized youth court
The Foundation Level consists of four levels:

Motion Locomotion – designed for 2-3 years old, this program keeps the kids moving and having fun

Red Ball – for elementary school age children that are interested in learning the basics of the sport

Orange Ball – for kids that have learned the basics and are ready to learn serve and rally techniques

Advanced Orange Ball – this level is for advanced students that are considering tennis as a sport in school

The Foundation Level consists of three levels:

Red Ball

This program is geared toward the students that are just starting this sport and who need to learn the basics of the game. This program teaches the forehand, backhand, volley, and serve, in an instructional setting.

Emphasis is based on eye-hand coordination, body awareness in relation to the racquet, and tracking a moving ball. Here the student learns how to strike a stationary ball, a bouncing ball, and a ball in motion.

Orange Ball

This program is geared toward the students that are now hitting a ball and can understand the extended racquet in their hand in relation to their body. Here we introduce the student to the forehand, backhand, volley, serve, and overhead. The environment is in a FUN but instructional setting.

Advanced Orange Ball – Intro to Green Ball

This program is geared toward the student that is more advanced in their stroke production and who are interested in staying involved in tennis to learn and move toward match play options. This is a more advanced program and develops the skills that the child needs to proceed forward with this sport.
